My name is Wayne Pralle. My Great-grandmother was Auguste Senger the daughter of Johann Senger and Ferdinanda Susannah Von Lupton (Von Lipton/Von Liptau. My Great-grandmother & Great-great-grandmother were both born in the Danzig, , Pomorskie, Poland area. Johann Senger & his older brother Karl Senger were born in the Oseken, Danzig area.
They immigrated to America around 1880.

Can you tell me if you have found other Senger family members during your record searches. Having the limited information on the family I wondered if you could point me in a possible direction to see if additional information can be discovered.

    Thank you for any assistance.

    Wayne Pralle

    Hi Wayne

My Sengers (Saengers) were from the Ellerwald-Zeyer-Elbing region about 40 km East-Southeast of Danzig. My family was 100% Lutheran. In my searches, I do know that there were some Sengers from other areas and that of those several were Jewish and/or Catholic. The names you mentioned are not in my family (thus far). If you have gedcom files I’ll be happy to check things out…

Hello, my name is Daniel M. Senger IV. I was just looking around for clues to my family’s history and stumbled onto this site. I wonder if our Families could be related. I don’t know much of my family history other than my great grandfather’s first language was dutch I believe.

My Sengers, as you have probably read already, were from West & East Prussia and were German. You can see the genealogy at:

Beyond that I am not quite certain what I can tell you. Our history, such as I have it written may be found at:

Perhaps something in there will be of help.
