I would like to know if you have any information about the family Ellerwald. My granddad is Ferdinand Ellerwald, born at the 5th of November 1907, his father was Franz Ellerwald, born at the 22th of Februari 1864. The mother of Ferdinand Ellerwald is Rosa Bark-Ellerwald, born at the 5th of September 1869. They all were born in Tolkemit, Preussen. I am surching for their home-address in Tolkemit. During the war they left Tolkemit.Any other information about relatives would be wonderfull.
Thank you kindfully,

Unfortunately I research the Town of Ellerwald not the Family Ellerwald. Have you tried asking people on the following Yahoo groups… Elbing-L, OW-Preussen- famint- prussiangenealogy?
Perhaps someone on one of those lists might have information.

I live in Vistula Delta region in Poland. I would be happy to help you. If you want nowadays photos of mennonite or evangelic graveyards of my region, feel free to ask. Sometimes, gravestones presumed to be lost are buried or shattered. There are few groups of history interested people that are restoring those graveyards. Every year we find new gravestones.

Hello aartin… if you were to find any grave stone with the family name Senger or Recht on it (they would most likely be in the old Zeyer Church yard area). I would be greatly moved and pleased with any photo. Thank you very much for contacting me. …mark

Church in Zeyer (polish Kępki) was destroyed in 1945. Graveyard surrounding church is destroyed. It looks like a jungle now. During my last trip there i found (not without troubles moving thru bush)one complete gravestone and two stone plates in pieces. I think there weren’t any Senger or Recht names on them. When i get home from work i will post photos on photobucket or something similar.
There is a possibility that some gravestones are still on the graveyard, but this cemetry is in our plans hmmm… I think in next year.

Thank you very much, aartin. Yes, I know it was destroyed in 1945. My mother is suffering from Alzheimers (late stage), and so I have been searching anywhere and everywhere to help her find any of the threads of her lost home. To her Zeyervorderkampen forever lives in her as a place of beauty and joy.

Sorry, but i can’t find any pics from trip do Kępki. When i get some free time I’ll go there and make some new photos.
For now I have only some paper stuff from Zeyer, something about 100 documents.
Almost everything is hand-writed, I need some time do decrypt then. If I’ll find any name that interests you I will let you know.

Hello aartin, The documents you have access to are amazing! The “paper stuff” looks like it will contain numerous of my family members marriages, births, etc.
I can give you some dates to look at in your paper document, dates from important family events for the Sengers and Rechts. All I need to know is what are the date ranges of the paper materials and what they cover (births, deaths, marriages, etc.). Thank you so very much for telling me about this material. …mark

On list dates are arround 1880.
On other documents dates are from 1920 to end of ’30. I think so, there was too much of them to look closely to each one.
I hope that there will be some Sengers and Rechts. I will search deeper, maybe I will find any other documents from Zeyer region. Everything is possible here, I have paper chaos in my archieves.

Hello Aartin… so far those are not direct line relatives. Although, Martin Recht is a cousin.
