I love this site. Just completed the family tree on my mother’s side which started with the Paquin and Fréchette surnames and ended up with the roots of Louis Hébert who is Considered the first colonist of New France.
I will surely reference this site on a regular basis to get more details foor your sections detailing the History of New France.
My family tree can be viewed at http://www.genebase.com / wayne kendall .
AS there are more than one of the same name you can match mine with the spouse being Louise Germain.

Hi Wayne
Thank you very much for your kind words. I am glad that you find the source materials useful. If you have not already checked Tanguay’s texts out, you might find them helpful. They may provide you with numerous new possibilities:

Mark,
Thanks for the time and effort you have put into this site. I have begun a family tree project, and I came across your work in the process. Bookmarked for future reference.

The French were some of the earliest settlers of the North American continent and continue to shape the political and geographical landscape of Canada and the northern continent in general – fascinating story – thank you!
