Thanks for the wonderful details. I am a descendant of Louis and Marie Hebert. Our story continues. I have many cousins in the United States and Canada who share this tradition and many others intertwined.

I am a decendent of Louis Hebert. My ancestors the Fourniers migrated from the Quebec area to Michigan about 1870.
Can you put me in contact with some who still lives in Quebec?

Louis Hebert is my 10th great grandfather and it was so great to read a more detailed history of his life. I wonder if the family history has gone any further back into France?
