Very nice website. Very professional. I’ll bookmark and come review in detail later.
I caught a link while looking up the name of a friend of my Grandfather. He was a childhood friend and became mayor of German Danzig. Georg Lippke. My Opa emigrated to the US in the 20′s and returned right in time for WWII. He was not fond of the National Socialists and never kept his thoughts to his self. Georg was able to keep him out of jail on more than one occassion when my grandfather made his views known.
While it helped in the short term, my grandfather eventually ended up on the Eastern front and was a guest of the Soviets for some 18 months. Then a guest of the fine DDR folks for another 18 months. No surprise that he had no love for Europe for the rest of his life.
Of course his family had their Ost Prussian estate taken by the government during WWI, so leaving with life intact is pretty much a bonus I guess.

If you are interested send an email. My family name in Germany is Henneberg. The family is from East Prussia. I can dig up a family tree provided by my German relatives.

Hi [Mark],
I was raised in LA, now living in Miami. Have been working on a WW2 screenplay that includes the Cold War. Would it be possible to contact you now and then to clarify facts and time frames? It would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Robert

Danke.
